One judge chooses the winners of the monthly BoldBrush contest.

In addition, on the BoldBrush competition page, the most popular image - the one with the most likes - is on the main page and is clickable next to where it says Current Most Popular Painting by Votes.

There's also a link that shows previous popular images. So if someone clicks that and you've been the most popular image at one time, your entry will be there. This is a great way to get more people to look at your work.

From the Awards page:
Our judge will select winners each month from all the artworks entered in our online art contest.

Awards winners will be announced and listed on the BoldBrush Contest site at the end of the following month.

FAV 15%

In addition, there is the FAV15 (FAV 15%), representing the favorite 15% by the FASO team and the BoldBrush staff members.

Our BoldBrush painting competition receives so many high quality entries each month that we wanted to take the opportunity to acknowledge ones that particularly spoke to us, hence the FAV 15%.

The FAV15 is not part of the jurying process. The real judge looks at every single painting entered to make his or her decisions. Inclusion (or exclusion) from the FAV15 has absolutely no impact on any given artwork's chances of winning an award.
