Does my FASO website have a sitemap?

How do I create and upload an XML sitemap file?

FASO automatically generates a properly formatted sitemap for every artist website we host. Your Sitemap will auto-update every time you make changes to your site.

This allows you to be less concerned with SEO and more active in your studio doing what you do best.

Your sitemap url will look like this:
https://YourDomain.com/sitemap.xml

If you have not yet registered a personalized domain, your system domain/subdomain will used for your sitemap:
https://yourUsername.faso.com/sitemap.xml

As an an example, here's Kevin MacPherson's site map

The sitemap lists all of the publicly available canonical pages on the websites in order for search engines to discover them and index them.

Our security rules are blanket applied to all FASO sites and their modification is at the discretion of the engineering team based on traffic patterns and identified risks. These security rules should already allow access to legitimate social media bots, search engine bots, and under some circumstances, AI agent bots not used for collecting data for training.

Legitimate Google bot is allowed by default for obvious reasons.

By design, all available content is included in the sitemap. This allows search engines to discover content that might otherwise remain hidden due to a lack of internal or external links. The priority is assigned based on the content type, not on when it was published, and the {{lastmod}} field reflects the last time our system recorded the content as being updated.
