If you are using a non-FASO domain and your Registrar (GoDaddy, Register.com, Network Solutions...) suggests that you forward your domain in order to use it with your site, we do not necessarily agree.
We usually do not recommend forwarding because the SSL certificate will not work and search engines will not search your website properly.
Forwarding your domain is not optimal for your SEO (search engine optimization), as your Registrar then harvests most or all of the benefits. Pointing your domain by changing the domain name servers (DNS) is a better way to go.
