Instead of exhausting your followers with a stunning photo of your newly painted masterpiece followed by a paragraph with interspersed hashtags, give the users what they want. 

Storytelling with streamlined searchability! 

Tell your story, add a few line breaks, then add some hashtags below the story. It would look something like this:

Yippee, it's Saturday! I'm going to head out to the lake to do some pleinair oil painting accompanied by my dogs and then hopefully grab cup of hot tea or maybe even a beer with a few artist friends. Should be a great day to paint! The winter light outside my window is phenomenal!
